Resist the urge to skip through the Fall season.
Fall is an excellent time of year, especially in the Pacific Northwest. These days, retailers will have you believe Fall ends before Halloween; we're here to tell you...it doesn't have to be that way.
The fact is, Fall is very much passed over for Christmas. Walk through any big box retailer, and you'll think Christmas is right around the corner.
For many people, Fall is a beautiful time of year when we begin to transition from outdoor
living to cozy days in the house. It's a time to get out your favorite throw blanket and brew a midday cup of coffee or tea. The speed of summer begins to fade as the days get shorter and the temperatures come down.

Crotons and Pothos can add some fall tones of Red, Orange, and yellow.

As the season changes and the leaves turn color outside, our home décor changes. Without too much effort, houseplants can accentuate any Fall home décor.
Plants like Crotons and Pothos can add some fall tones of Red, Orange, and Yellow. Sprinkle in a Fall-colored Mum, Gerbera Daisy, or a Bromeliad to really bring the Fall inside as we head toward Thanksgiving.
“Notice that autumn is more the season of the soul than of nature.”
- Friedrich Nietzsche
So, before you transition your home to Holiday décor, think about November and visualize what it means to you. If you're an early Christmas decorator, that's great. However, if you're a lover of Fall, slow things down and look to add a plant or two to your Fall home décor and see how it can improve your energy.
